June Lineback, 91 of Billings, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Billings Clinic Hospital.
The daughter of Eder and Alice McCormick, June was born July 1, 1920 in Winner, SD, where she was raised and educated. After graduating High School she attended Secretarial School.
June married Dale Lineback in Sioux City, Iowa in 1940. Dale preceded her in death September 19, 1979.
In 1960 June and Dale moved their family to Billings from Sioux Falls, SD. June worked many years as secretary at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and later for Dr. McBride’s Optometry Office.
A member of St. Luke’s since 1960, June was active in St. Margaret’s Guild, the Episcopal Church Women, and Daughters of the King. For over 22 years she had volunteered as a Gray Lady at the Billings Clinic. June enjoyed all crafts, making dolls, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She liked baking, searching for treasures at the thrift stores, and working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include four children, Dale “Dan” Lineback of Billings, Vicki Lineback of Billings, Kerry Donohoe of Federal Way, WA, and Laurie Dukart (Scott) of Billings, eight grandchildren, Kim Lineback of Missoula, Kelly Grubaugh of Anchorage, AK, Brian Lineback (Crystal) of Missoula, Sean Lineback of Billings, Kirk Lineback of Plevna, Brandon Penning of West Seattle, WA, Ryan Arnold (Jamie) of Billings, and Kirk Dukart (Kelli) of Shepherd and 11 great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 1pm Saturday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
