Raymond Veryle Geiss, age 57, left us unexpectedly on the morning of April 16, 2014.
He was born on Oct. 18, 1956, in Sheridan, Wyo., to Ralph and Joyce Geiss. After attending high school in Wyoming, he moved to Billings, where he met and married Kim Rausch, the love of his life, on Nov. 27, 1975. They raised five children: RC (Tasha), Deanna, Tanner and Rhylee; Derek (Kourtney), Madison, Damien, Xavier, Julian and Anastasia; Natasha (Sammy), Deontae, Ahyana, Tayvin, Avayah and Trevae; Shondelle, Kobe and Rhys; Sierra and K’Den.
Ray is remembered as a very hard worker who was willing to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbors. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, camping, fishing and visiting the Bighorn Mountains with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kim, of 37 years; their five children and 16 grandchildren; his older sister, Carlene; and younger brother, Marlin. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Faith Chapel, with a celebration of life to follow.
