Orva Lee Hatzell passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Butterfly Homes in Billings.
She was born in Mount Vernon, Ark., on March 4, 1927. She and her husband, Glen Hatzell, moved from their home in Arkansas to the Northeast Bay Area of California in 1943 to start and raise a family. They raised two children: a daughter, Glenda Omo, and a son, Richard Hatzell. They had six grandchildren. She moved to Montana in 2006. Orva lived in Laurel until 2009, then moved to Billings and was a resident of Autumn Care II and Butterfly Homes the remainder of her time.
She was preceded in death by her husband and children. She is survived by six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Rolling Hills Memorial Park in Richmond, Calif.
She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
