Stephanie A. Ness, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, lost her short life at the age of 46 to a 20-month courageous battle with brain cancer on Feb. 19, 2019.
Born on Jan. 16, 1973, to Barb Sticka Cellmer and Ken Cellmer, Stephanie graduated from Billings West High School in 1991. From there, she traveled back east to be a nanny. It was there that she met and married Donald Hill on Jan. 7, 1996.
They had two handsome, loving boys, Donald “Kenny” Hill and Steven Leonard Hill. The three of them lost Donnie in 1998.
Stephanie moved back to Billings to be surrounded by her family and friends, and spent her years enjoying life and raising her two wonderful boys.
Stephanie met Greg Ness on July 7, 2013, and they had many Harley rides and enjoyed the Black Hills together. They married on July 7, 2015, at Prairie Berry Winery, too short of a time together.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory Ness; sons Donald “Kenny” and Steven; mother Barb (Curt) Collins; father Ken (Deb) Cellmer; sister Gerri (Troy) Calhoun; stepdaughter Britni; grandson Maddox; many numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and way too many friends to list.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donnie; and both her maternal grandparents, Delores and Jack Sticka and paternal grandparents, Minnie and Emanuel Cellmer.
Stephanie had a love for life and never met a stranger she wouldn’t help. She would want everyone to carry that on.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Michelotti-Sawyers, 1001 Alderson Ave. A celebration of life will follow from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Angry Hank’s, 20 N. 30th St.
