Nancy Kay Pollock

October 6, 1961

February 5, 2021

Nancy Kay Pollock, 59, of Billings gained her angel wings on Feb. 5, 2021.

Nancy was born in Billings on Oct. 6, 1961, to Ronald and Violet (Krum) Balzer. She grew up on the family farm and later graduated from Huntley Project High School. During her high school years, Nancy met the love of her life, Gary Pollock, and they were married on Sept. 3, 1983. On May 16, 1984, Gary and Nancy welcomed their only child, Brooke. Being a mom to Brooke was one of her favorite joys, along with crafting, decorating and golfing. Shortly after the birth of their beloved daughter, Nancy and Gary bought the Meat and Poultry Palace and, together, created a business that many can only dream of. Working six days a week for 34 years, their love for each other only grew stronger and, as Gary said, “not many people get to spend 24 hours a day with their beautiful wife.”

Nancy is survived by her loving husband Gary; daughter Brooke (Brad) Schneider and soon to be first grandbaby Adalynn; parents  Ronald and Violet (Krum) Balzer; brother Terral (Tammy) Balzer; sister Tracey (Mike) Kragt; and sister Lori (Jeff) Moll; along with many nieces and nephews.

“If roses grow in Heaven, Lord, please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me. Tell her that I love and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.” — I love you, Mom!

A celebration of life will be Saturday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. or shortly after as Nancy was never on time. Please join us at Chanceys Event Center, 266 Hogan Road, Huntley, MT 59037.

  2. Nancy was a joy. She was always very willing to help me with my “special” requests for cuts of meat. And Daryl would always make her smile when he said “Don’t let your meat loaf”. It is a loss – the angel wings came way too soon.

  13. Gary and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Like many in Billings, Nancy and Gary, are more than just local business owners. They are friendly faces that I grew up seeing on weekend shopping trips to Billings with my mom. And then they were there when I grew up and shop on my own. Nancy will be missed.

We remember Nancy as a very cute little girl getting on the school bus. Then a beautiful young lady off to high school. She was blessed with a very nice, boyfriend whom she married. She was a devoted mother and wife. She and Gary worked very hard to obtain and maintain their business. They created packaging bundles of meat catering to all income levels, plus fresh right out of the meat case cuts. They also carried hard to find and very delicious high quality meat items. Nancy worked right along with Gary to maintain this highest quality meat business. She also was an attentive “Mom” to Brooke, as well as a loving supportive daughter and sister. She is gone far too soon.

    1. Gary and Brooke I am so so sorry to learn of the passing of Nancy. Nancy was a wonderful and remarkable lady that I enjoyed seeing and talking to everytime I came in to the store. I am sending a ton of Thoughts and Prayers to you all during this time. Nancy will be greatly missed by all.
