Abbie Mary Quanbeck

Abbie Quanbeck was born August 9,1942 in Osborn, Montana. She was one of Thirteen children born to Gonsalo and Carmen (Victora) Moralez. She attended school at Huntley Project then later moved to Billings, MT. where she met and married Robert Quanbeck. From this union they had two daughters, Paulette Yurian and Bobbie Quanbeck.

She worked at the Keg Bar and at the Radison Northern Hotel as a banquet server. When she later moved to Absarokee she worked as a caregiver to the elderly.

She always had a passion for baking. (her peach pies were so famous and always enjoyed by so many others) She had a love for and collected eagles. So much that she referred herself as “The Soaring Eagle.”  Abbie was very meticulous about her appearance, especially her hair and nails.

Abbie was fun-loving, adventurous, and very social. She always had an abundance of friends. She never lost her zeal in life. To say she was a character would be an understatement. She Always had a strong love and was enthusiastic about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her children Paulette and Bobbie and her Six Grandchildren: Robert Quanbeck (Justine), Trisha Yurian, Jacob Yurian (Kylie), Alaini Lorash and Mikela Lorash. She had seven Great Grand Children:  Gavin, Addison/ Elke, Waylon / Grayson, Virgil, Angie, and seven remailing siblings.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband Robert Quanbeck, and her Granddaughter Erica Yurian, and six siblings.

Please join us in celebrating Abbie’s life. Services will be Tuesday February 18, 2025, at 11AM St. Pius Church in Billings MT. Following the service there will be a Luncheon that will be at St Pius Church followed by the burial at Mountview Cemetery.
