Adam Clifford Ashworth, 88, left this world on November 24, 2015 to join his beloved wife of fifty-seven years in heaven. Adam, or Ash as he was known, was born in Great Falls, MT on April 22, 1927 to Adam and Mary Louise (Baker) Ashworth. He attended school in Great Falls and Sunburst. The youngest of 4 boys, Adam joined the US Navy in 1945 at the age of seventeen. He served on the USS Sarsfield and was very proud of his service to his country.
He met the love of his life and best friend, Janice Eyre Greaves, in Great Falls and they were married on September 5, 1947. Together they raised six children and cherished the times together at the family cabin outside of Augusta, Montana. He attended the University of Montana and received his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy in 1951. He worked as a pharmacist for over 50 years, working in Conrad, Great Falls and Billings.
Adam was proceeded in death by his parents; his wife and best friend, Jan; his son Robert "Kelly"; and his brothers, John, Albert and Bill.
He is survived by his six children; Rick (Linda) of Helena; Lesley (Daniel) Gonzalez of Irvine, CA; Dan of Idaho Falls, ID; Jeff (LaVon) of Billings; Pat (Renee) of Cheyenne, WY; Sister-in-law, Marilyn Hanson of Pasco, WA, and 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Adam was a lifelong Montana Grizzly fan and attended many Cat/Griz games over the years. He was loved and admired by all who knew him and never met a stranger. Adam loved his family dearly, was proud of each and every one of them, and he will truly be missed.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. A memorial service and burial will take place at a later date.
