Adam Thomas Pelatt, age 41, passed away on July 20, 2019, in Billings. Adam was born on Dec. 30, 1977, in Billings - the beginning of an amazing life full of empathy, love, godliness, thoughtfulness, laughter and generosity that touched many people across the globe through his friendships both old and new, his work and his numerous generous anonymous donations to life-changing charities. He loved God and was devoted to following Him, heart and soul.

Adam was always a theatrical child who loved being with people and making friends with everyone he met. He had a deep passion for people that lasted throughout his life. His smile and heart radiated empathy. He was deeply bonded with his cousins and their families and never missed a 4th of July with them at Nana and Papa's cabin in Red Lodge. He loved being in plays and musicals at school and at local theaters and singing in the Community Youth Chorale and Canticle Choir and the University of Puget Sound Choir. He also sang as the cantor at St. Patrick's Cathedral. He graduated from Billings Central Catholic high school in 1996 and went on to graduate from the University of Puget Sound in 2000 with a degree in Communications Studies - something he always had an uncanny knack for. He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and had many fond and funny memories from his time there.

He went on to work for a period of time at ADP and later for Intuitive Surgical for 11 years as a surgeon trainer on the DaVinci robot. He was greatly admired and respected in the hospitals in which he worked and formed many friendships that he cherished. He was instrumental in advancing the robotics programs and training many skilled surgeons, giving patients access to far more advanced treatments with shorter recovery times. Adam recently began working at Edward Jones Investments and had been very much looking forward to his career there.

Adam was so community-minded and was willing to put in the time and work to make a difference. Adam served on the board of South Lane County Fire & Rescue from 2012 to 2015 and served as a much-loved city councilor in Creswell, Oregon, from 2013 to 2015. After George and Evelyn were born, most of his free time went to fulfilling his lifelong dream of being a dad. He played with them endlessly and read to them every night before bed. He loved his family without reserve and with his whole heart. He once said that when he died he wanted people to say of him that he loved his wife - and he did that so well. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson and friend.

He is survived by his 4-year-old children, George and Evelyn, and his wife, Jessica. He is also survived by his parents, Lorie and Tom; his brother Brian and Kristine, Adele, Teresa and Margaret; his sister Jennifer and Michael, Alison, and Emma; and his grandmother Elda Schuman. He had a loving bond with Jessica's parents, Chris and Rahnella Adsit, as well as her brothers David and Jonathon and sister Mary and her husband Joshua. He had many aunts and uncles and cousins on both sides and enjoyed them all.

A vigil will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 28, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 29, at St. Patrick Co-Cathedral, 215 N. 31st St., with reception at the Elk's Club to follow.

In lieu of flowers, any donations can made to accounts set up for his children at Beartooth Bank (4130 King Ave. W., Billings, MT 59106) or to Reboot Recovery (www.rebootrecovery.com). He will be missed more than we have words to say and your prayers are much appreciated.
