Aletha Ann (Parker) Cavan passed away peacefully at her new home in Bismarck, North Dakota, surrounded by family, on Nov. 9, 2016.
Aletha was born on Feb. 2, 1932, to Peter Vernal Parker and Anne E. (Olson) Parker of Judith Gap. She attended schools in Lambert and Judith Gap, and then graduated from Billings Senior High in 1951. She was united in marriage with Robert H. Cavan on April 1, 1955. They made their home in Billings and then in Minneapolis, and retired in Billings. She worked as an administrative assistant for many years, and then worked in a family-owned business. Aletha was a dedicated wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed her family, reading and kept up on current events and politics. She enjoyed the fellowship of her church and was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Aletha was preceded in death by husband, Robert; parents, Anne and Otto Grandin and P.V. Parker; and brother, V. Carl Parker. She is survived by son, Bob Jr. (Deb) of Elk River, Minnesota; daughter, Kim Bradley (Russ) of Garneill; grandson Jeff (Jaimie) and great-grands Cole, Katie and Alex, of Bismarck; grandson Paul of Garneill, Montana; and granddaughter Anna Bradley of Black River Falls, Wisconsin.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., in Billings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Ronald McDonald House, Child and Family Services, Billings or Sanford Hospice, Bismarck, North Dakota.
