Alica Diane Hill (Bruhaug) was born on Jan. 30, 1947, in Wayland, Kentucky, to Pearl and Woody Hill. She moved to Eureka, Montana, with her family in 1954. She attended elementary and high school in Eureka, went to college at San Jose State in California and later finished her education in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she began her career in mental health.
Alica moved to Billings in 1993 to work at the Mental Health Center until she became diagnosed with a serious heart condition in 1996. Alica had a special love and compassion for people suffering with severe mental illness.
Despite her diagnosis, Alica lived a full life dedicated to her faith, spending time with family and friends, serving others, and loving her husband.
Alica’s heart beat for the last time here on Earth on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, and beat anew in Heaven, completely healed, as she woke in the presence of her Savior.
Alicia is survived by her husband, Ed Bruhaug; daughter Lisa (John) Jackson; sons Adam (Amber) Ott and JW (Becky) Ott; stepdaughter Lynda Moore; stepson Jens Bruhaug; sister Dia Erickson; and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Alica was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Woody; sister Micki; stepdaughter Lisa; stepson Rhom; and several good friends.
Alica will be sincerely missed by all her family and friends. She is celebrated today by her family and friends with gratitude for her life, appreciation for her love, and with great hope because of her faith in Jesus.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Christ’s Church of Billings, 323 S. 32nd St. West, Billings, MT 59102.
