Allan Ray Hinkle

Allan Ray Hinkle, 78, passed away at his home in Billings on Dec. 10, 2023. Allan was born the fourth of six children on Nov. 20, 1945, to George and Elizabeth (Nafts) Hinkle Jr.

He grew up on the family farm in Shepherd, where he graduated from high school in 1965. Allan served in the Navy from 1968 to 1970. He worked for the City of Billings Parks Department, where he later retired. He spent his retirement working on numerous projects and taking some time to travel to visit his children and grandchildren.

Allan is survived by his wife, Dianna Hinkle. In addition to his wife, Allan is survived by his son, Shane Hinkle; daughter, Janice (Erik) Caldwell; grandchildren, Brenden (Serena) Caldwell and Joshua Caldwell; grandson, Tevin Willis; brothers, James (Linda) Hinkle, and Victor (Marilyn) Hinkle; sisters, Shirley Amestoy, and Marian Fisher. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Allan is preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth Hinkle, Jr.; as well as his brother, Kenneth Hinkle; and nephew, Kevin Fisher.

Allan will truly be missed by all his family and friends.

At the request of Allan, there will be no funeral service.
