Ashlea Colleen (MacDonald) DiFronzo was called to Heaven on November 27, 2024. She will be dearly missed, but fondly remembered by her family and friends. Ashlea was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada on May 4, 1945. She was one of four siblings, all who pre-deceased her. As a teenager, she moved to Billings, MT. She later met her former husband in Billings and raised two sons. After raising her sons, Ashlea went back to school to become a bereavement counselor and chaplain. She then spent over 25 years working with Hospice and St. Vincent Hospital. After she retired, she moved to the Washington, DC area to be near her three grandchildren.

In life, Ashlea loved so many things. Those loves included her family and friends, her faith and nature. Ashlea raised her sons to love nature and animals, and her family always had a rich collection of pets. She also loved music, tasty food, and good wine. Ashlea spent countless hours watching her sons and later her grandchildren participate in sports. She made deep friendships wherever she had an exemplary giving nature. In addition to the Church, Ashlea actively participated in so many charitable and philanthropic organizations. Wherever she graced, her presence and her giving nature left people feeling as though angels were always collaborating with her.

Ashlea is survived by her son Michael (Miaka) and his three children; Sofia, Dominic, and Olivia, and Miaka’s daughters Anna and Mia, and her son Mario (Whitney). She leaves behind a much larger family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly, as well as so many close friends in Billings and the Washington, DC area.

A memorial service and mass will be held for Ashlea at St Thomas Catholic Church in Billings on Friday, December 13 at 10 a.m. A vigil will be held at Michelotti-Sawyers on Thursday, December 12 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Riverstone Health Hospice or Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. As Ashlea was always fond of saying, All God’s Blessings.
