Barbara Kompish

.Barbara M. (Schwab) Kompish, 98 of Venice, FL, formally of Billings, MT passed away March 20, 2012.

The daughter of John & Julia Schwab, Barbara was born January 22, 1914 in Stanton, ND. She was raised and educated in ND. In 1938, wanting to pursue life's adventures, she moved to Billings, MT where she met and married Joe Kompish in 1941. Barbara and Joe loved to travel and play cards with friends. Barbara achieved her goal of traveling to all 50 states, she also traveled to much of Europe and enjoyed cruises. She worked at various restaurants and retired from JC Penney after 20 years of service.

She is preceded in death bhy her husband Joe, her parents, John and Julia Schwab and thirteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by one brother, Ralph Schwab and many loving nieces and nephews.

Barbara lived with her niece Julianne Ryan and her husband Frank in Florida for the last two years. She loved the Florida weather.

Funeral mass will be 9am Wednesday at Holy Rosary Parish. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the mass. Rite of Committal will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
