Bernard "Barney" Billman was born July 12, 1945, in Dickinson, ND, to Joe and Veronica Billman. Barney was the second of six children. He attended St. Joseph's Grade School and Central High School in Dickinson. Barney moved to Billings with the family in 1964. Barney was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; parents; brother William; and brother-in-law Jerry and sister-in-law Randi. He is survived by son Joey (Melissa); grandchildren Kayla and Michael; two brothers, Kenneth (Diane), Jack; two sisters Judy, Shirley (Doug); eight nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews. Barney worked on the Yellowtail Dam as a laborer, as an appliance repairman and later worked as a welder and in metal fabrication. His interests were reading western novels, fishing and partying. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Billings.
