Betty Bernice Dernback

After a brief stay at St. John's Lutheran Home, Betty Dernback, 88 of Billings, passed quietly on May 10, 2012. She was born on September 19, 1923 to Jacob and Martha Shaffer in Billings, the sixth of 8 children.

Betty is survived by Charles, her husband of 66 years; her two daughters Nancy (Charly) Sinclair and Jeanne (Tom) Taylor; as well as three grandchildren, Jessica, Adam and Jonathan.

For seven years Betty and Chuck owned the Merry-Go-Round Kiddies Shop in the Broadwater Shopping Center. She loved her hobbies of quilting, ceramics, and of course, her cats.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

The casket will be open for visitation from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Services, which will be held in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. A light reception will follow in the foyer before interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Last Chance Cat Sanctuary or the Animal Shelter.
