Betty's path through life started in Fremont, Nebraska, the second child of Leroy and Gladys Webster. During her childhood, the family relocated to Gillette, Wyoming. It was there that she met and married Charles Marshall and moved to Sheridan, Wyoming, operating their ranch and raising their family of four: Linda, Debra, John and Alice. As Sheridan grew around the ranch, Charles and Betty searched for a new home and found it on the banks of the Stillwater River at Beehive, Montana. Betty's last move was to Absarokee, where she resided until her death.
Betty is survived by her four children, five granddaughters and one grandson, and three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
As wished, cremation has taken place, with symbols of the four constants in her life chosen by her children. A spool of thread from her love of sewing everything from her children's clothing to beautiful quilts, a rose from her passion of gardening, a deck of cards from her passion of card games from solitaire to bridge, and a stuffed Tweety Bird from the cartoon character which she collected all kinds of knickknacks.
Betty's far-flung family plans on gathering in early July to celebrate Betty's life and will post an invite to her friends to gather with us.
