Brenda Joleen Goodman passed away surrounded by her close family March 26, 2023. She was born on April 19, 1976, to Wayne and Penny Goodman of Bridger. Brenda grew up on the family farm in Bridger with her three bothers, Bobby, Brandon and Byron. Her love of animals started at young age, always sneaking into the fridge to get cheese for her cats or letting them in when they were not supposed to be in the house. She enjoyed watching the wild animals that would come and visit deer, ducks, geese, turkeys, moose, bears, and even a wolf.

Brenda graduated from Fromberg High School in 1995. She played in the Pep Band and managed the boys’ basketball team, and was voted Prom Queen. After high school, she attended nursing school at the MSU in Billings while she worked at JC Penney’s. She shifted careers and went to work at Eagle Hardware/ Lowe’s until she ended up taking disability leave for her Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Brenda was always smiling and lived life to the fullest. She had a spirited personality, always made people around her laugh, and made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed being with family and friends, camping, boating, jet skiing, playing cards with her grandparents, going on trips and shopping (oh boy, could she shop). She was a great storyteller — some true and some not so true.

Brenda treasured her nephews Brayden Goodman and Calib Goodman and embraced every moment with them. There was nothing she would not do for those boys.

Brenda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ruby Goodman, Jake and Marguerite Goodman; maternal grandparents Robert and Mary Lowell; uncle Don Goodman; sister-in-law Serena Schwend; and dogs Maddie and Hiccup.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents Wayne and Penny Goodman; brothers Bobby (Sonja and Brayden), Brandon and Byron (Calib); as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Brenda is also survived by her cats, Taz and Wilson, and family dog Jack.

The loss of such a sweet, loving person will be forever felt by her family and friends.

Please join us in celebrating her life at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., with a potluck reception to follow at Columbus Club, 2216 Grand Ave.

In lieu of flowers, Brenda had a great passion for animals. A donation in Brenda’s name can be made to her favorite charity: Beartooth Humane Alliance in Red Lodge.
