Carolyn Kern Lambrecht, 78, of Billings, passed away at her home on Feb. 21, 2012, following brief illness.
Carolyn was born on Oct. 4, 1933, in Mott, N.D., one of 11 children to Russell and Albertina Kern.
Carolyn moved to Billings with her family when she was a young girl. It was in Billings where she would meet her future husband, George Lambrecht. They were married in 1952 and together farmed near Huntley and west of Billings, at 56th and Hesper, for 42 years, where they also raised their four children.
Carolyn was an avid quilter and enjoyed playing Bingo. She delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spending time with them as much as possible. They kept her young!
She was preceded in death by her husband George in 1994; three brothers and two sisters. Those left behind include her children, Mike (Elaine), Tom (Cheryl) and Steve, all of Billings, and Mary (Rob) Streck of Laurel; grandchildren Christopher (Sara), Kamee (Tom Love), Chelsea (Coy Archer), Krystle, Terril, J.T., and Brandon; great-grandchildren Kade, Lane, Brayden, Harper, Brooks, Lukas, Jordan and Taylar; her siblings, Albert (Marilyn) Kern, Alice Lambrecht, Margaret Larson, Elsie Austin and Diane (Ken) Billman.
Cremation has taken place. At Carolyn's request, graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who can't attend graveside services, a luncheon will be held at Jerry and Connie Johnson's place.
