Catherine Michele Schwend-Weimer

Catherine Michele Schwend-Weimer was born on March 20, 1975 and grew into a woman who touched many lives. Cathy left this world on February 17, 2016 to be greeted in Heaven by her grandparents; Elmer & Betty Bent and Bill & Mary Schwend, father-in-law Charlie Weimer, Uncle Dean Bent, Cousin Jodi Tuell and many friends.

Cathy’s life was a life filled with many treasured moments, with those who she loved most. She loved her family immensely and was happiest when surrounded by “her people”. Cathy was a gifted & brilliant woman who triumphed through many of life’s twists and turns. From early on in life, she was well known for her athletic abilities, which led her through a successful high school and college track & field career. Cathy married the love of her life, Kevin Weimer, in 1997, and so began a joyful and absolutely beautiful family: Kevin, Cath, Savvy, and Saige shared many adventures, never complete without horses, cows, and the occasional Weiner dog(s).

Cathy loved the Lord Jesus, and did her utmost to cling to Him through every trial. She would most want us to remember her as the loving, strong, and devoted woman she was: a faithful wife to her husband, Kevin, and a treasured mother to her daughters, Savvana (17) and Saige (13). She was a daughter to Lonnie (Elaine) and Darlene Schwend, and daughter-in-law to Gladys Weimer. She was a sister to Wes (Tara) Schwend and Stephanie (Hank) Scarber and sister-in-law to Randy (Stasi) Weimer. Cathy was a devoted aunt to Stetson, Shaniah, and Seannah Schwend as well as Jessica (Haaken) and Cliff Scarber and Jace Weimer. Cathy was a cherished friend to many people, friends, co-workers, and patients. There are many extended family members who are too numerous to list, but who held a very special place in Cathy’s heart.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Faith Chapel, please use the north entrance. A memorial fund has been set up at the Yellowstone Bank for Cathy’s daughters, Savvana and Saige Weimer. Donations can be made at any branch of the Yellowstone Bank.
