"I was born November 17,1938, in the small cotton town of Rosebud, TX. My birth was at home because there was no room in the hospital. One of my aunts was at my birth.
"Later my family moved to Fort Worth ,TX, where I grew up and graduated from high school. Boy Scouts was an important part of my life. It introduced me to the outdoors which has been a life-long passion. I love being outside in the splendor of the creation. I fell in love with the mountains so it is no surprise that I ended up in Montana. I loved the mountains and I loved the values of the people.
"After college in Abilene, TX, I married Barbara Walker, attended seminary at Perkins Theological Seminary in Dallas at Southern Methodist University and had a daughter, Donna.
"I first pastored in Billings, MT, and after some months, we adopted Todd, Doug, and Wendy into our family. Some years later, after Barb and I divorced, I married Carol Hopkins Anderson and gained two great step-sons. I feel honored to be part of Carol's extended family.
"My legacy that I want to leave to Carol, to my kids and step-kids, my extended families and my friends, is that I love you deeply. I am so grateful for all that life has brought me-the pain and the pleasure that has been part of my growth."
