Clark Allison DeFrance, 73, of Billings, died on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016. He was the first son of Allison and Erma Clark DeFrance, born on Sept. 17, 1942, in Glendale, Calif.
He was raised in San Leandro, Calif., and graduated from high school in Kirkland, Wash. After proudly serving in the Army, he attended and graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz. For the next 17 years, he co-owned The Sprint Shop, a foreign car parts store in Fremont, Calif., with his best friend, Steve Hygelund. After retiring, he moved to Billings, where he enjoyed reading, hunting and daily walks around the Mormon Temple with his favorite black lab, Zack.
Clark was predeceased by his parents, and special friend and brother-in-law Paul Graham.
He is survived by BJ (Barbara Jean) Patrick, his wife of 30 years; and his two sons, Jean Paul "J.P." and grandson Jacob, and Jason, wife Jackie and grandson Jackson. He is also survived by his two brothers, Fred and Roger, wife Dianne and their two daughters; and former wife Gail Graham Perry.
Per his wishes, Clark was cremated and there will be no services.
If desired, donations may be made in Clark's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
