Clem DukartClemens “Clem” Dukart, 76 of Billings, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 at his home.
The son of John R. Dukart and Eva Mary Urlacher, Clem was born October 9, 1930 in Sheffield, ND. He married Frances Heidt in Gaylord, ND on September 25, 1951 and they made their home in Dickinson, ND until moving to Billings in 1958.
Clem had worked as a mechanic for Archie Cochrane Ford for 30 years, retiring in 1994.
Clem loved to be busy and was currently working part time at Auto Auction of Montana. A true handy-man he was always ready to help family with home repairs. He was proud of his yard and enjoyed playing golf, pool, and bowling.
He and Frances were charter members of St. Pius X Church and he was pleased to have been able to help install the pews in the new church. He was also a member of the Moose, St. Pius Verein, Knights of Columbus and the 4th Degree.
Survivors include his wife Frances, son Mel Dukart of Missoula, daughter Jane (Dennis) Crowder of Billings, grandson, Gil (Sara) Floyd of Billings and brother Thomas (Donna) Dukart, and sisters, Clementine (Harry) Stroh, Leona Sand, and Florence (George) Herauf all of Dickinson.
He was preceded in death by his father John, mother, Eva Mary, brother, Frank, brother-in-law Richard Sand and son-in-law, Gary Floyd.
Rosary will be said 7:00pm Tuesday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. The Funeral Mass will be 11am Wednesday at St. Pius X Church with Rite of Committal at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice.
I only knew him for a short amount of time but he was very nice and I loved to see him smile! My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Frances and family, I couldn’t believe it when I saw Clems name in the obituaries. Had he been sick for awhile? I feel so bad that we just live across the street a little and didn’t know. We are just so sorry for your loss. We will miss the waves. Joyce and Scott Mullikin
