Craig Kolstad Profile Photo

Jesus came and took our loving son, brother and friend home on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022.

Craig was born to Ray and Alice Kolstad on July 16, 1955, in Billings, where he lived his whole life. He is the oldest of three sons that came a few years later.

Craig graduated from Billings Senior High Special Education Program in 1974 and went on to work at many jobs and later worked with Job Connection. Craig loved to work and was always ready to get out and get it done.

Being a true Montana man, he was an avid fisherman with unbelievable patience, and loved to hunt in the fall. Other hobbies included bowling, woodworking, stamp collecting, puzzling and being in the mountains. One of his highlights in his life were the years building a family cabin in Red Lodge and spending time there just working around the cabin and watching wildlife. When we were working and took a break, he was the first to say “Come On, Guy’s Let’s Get Going! We’re Burning Daylight!”

Craig is preceded in death by his dad Ray, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins, and they were there in heaven to greet him. He is survived by mom Alice, whom he lived with his whole life; and brothers Curt and Don.

Craig will be dearly missed but kept alive in our memories for all time. He was a man of great faith in Jesus, and we know his spirit is now in heaven where he has a new body with no disabilities or limitations.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Special K Ranch.
