David J. Flanze, age 54 of Billings passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2006 due to natural causes.
He was a devoted son and care giver to his mother, Esther.
Dave was born on June 6, 1952 in Billings to Walter and Esther Flanze. He attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School then attended Billings Senior High, graduating in 1969. He was very active in the choir.
He briefly attended Eastern Montana College then transferred to Montana State University and graduated in Business Accounting.
Dave stated his career as an accountant for Western Plains Machinery Co in Billings then slowly built up his own business. He was the President and part owner of A+ RV and MINI STORAGE until it was recently sold.
He was an active member of Downtown Exchange Club for many years having served as President. Also he was past President and Financial Secretary for the congregation of Trinity Lutheran Church in Billings.
David was an avid golfer, bridge and pinochle player.
He is survived by his mother Esther Flanze of Billings; brother Carl (Kathy) Flanze of Park City, MT; sisters, Sandra (Bela) Marton of Allen, TX, Mary (William) Anderson of Boulder, CO, and Victoria (Gary) Dyrdahl of Bend, OR; as well as several nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces. David was preceded in death by his father Walter and nephew Bill Anderson.
He was a very good man and a trusted friend. He will be missed by all of his many friends and family.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, November 24, at Trinity Lutheran Church, on the corner of 6th and Grand.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Trinity Lutheran School, 2802 Belvedere Dr., Billings, MT 59102.
