David (Dave) Pursell

David (Dave) Pursell passed away surrounded by his loving wife Betty and family on May 26, 2016.

Dave was born in Boise, ID on July 18, 1934 to Harry and Rose Pursell. He attended Boise High School and graduated from Boise Junior College with a BA degree. There he re-connected with the love of life Betty Henderson Pursell. They married on October 16, 1954 and raised 3 wonderful children. Dave moved his family to Billings MT in 1964 to manage and eventually own A.B. Dick Products. He successfully grew his business until his retirement.

Dave enjoyed the outdoors doing backpacking, fishing and hunting, boat racing, and watching his favorite baseball team (NY Yankees). During retirement, Dave and Betty enjoyed traveling in their RV extensively across the United States including wintering in Arizona.

Dave is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Terry (Deb) Pursell, Kevin (Jan) Pursell, Kindra (Ken) McMullin, 5 grandchildren (Aaron, Brad (Tiffany), Konnar, Amanda and Anne), and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the excellent care received at St. V's and Riverstone Hospice. A celebration of life in Dave's honor will be held at Oscar's Park (3740 Wise Ln) on Monday, June 6th at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the YMCA in memory of Dave or a charity of your choice.
