Deborah Faye Ransom went to be with her Redeemer in the early hours on July 4, 2016, after a long battle with various illnesses, pain and suffering. Debbie was born on May 23, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, to Angus (Rusty) and Adele Neaves. Debbie resided in New York, Arkansas and Mississippi, where she met her husband William Ransom Jr. "Bill."
Debbie and Bill were married on July 3, 1971, and raised Evelyn "Lyn" and William III "Trey." Debbie and her family moved from Mississippi to Montana, eventually settling in Laurel in 1983. Debbie's passion in life was serving other people. She volunteered endlessly with her children's activities, finding her most joy in cooking at Castle Rock Baptist Camp during the summers. Debbie was selfless with her time, and patient and caring with whomever she met.
Debbie's favorite Bible verse was Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose." Debbie undoubtedly lived His purpose. Debbie was a loyal and committed wife and mother, celebrating her 45th wedding anniversary on July 3, 2016. Debbie loved sharing her family's story with those she came in contact with, often sharing pictures of her children and grandchildren. In her final years, Debbie was a model woman of faith as she fought a valiant and courageous battle against numerous illnesses. In all of her pain, she never complained; rather, she looked forward to the day when she would meet her Heavenly Father and receive the promises He has given to all those that believe. On July 4, 2016, Debbie celebrated her independence from her earthly body and is now in heaven smiling down on those she loved and served!
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Angus and Adele; and her brother Robert Wayne Neaves. She is survived by her husband, Bill; her children, Lyn (Mark) and Trey (Maria); her grandchildren, Zackariah (Zack), Jacob, Gracelyn (Lexie) and Champ; her sister, Janis Peacock; and her brother Jeffrey Dale Neaves; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Debbie's life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., Billings.
