Della Doris Mosbrucker went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 7, 2022, at the age of 87.

Della was born to John and Lea Stauss on Feb, 15, 1935, in Blue Grass County, North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm until she moved to New Salem, North Dakota, to attend high school and boarded in the home of her future in-laws, the Mosbruckers.

After high school, Della dated Frank and they were married in New Salem on July 16, 1956, after Frank returned home from the Army after service in Korea. Della and Frank traveled with his job in road construction building the Interstate Highway system in North Dakota, Montana, and Colorado. Frank and Della eventually landed in Williston, North Dakota, where their first two children, Shelley and Stephanie, were born. Later, another construction project took the family to Billings, where their third child, Stacy, was born. After the job was finished in Montana, the family moved back to Williston, where a fourth child, Shawna, was born.

Frank and Della liked the Billings area and, a few years later, had the opportunity to move back to Montana. They purchased a home in 1971, where they raised the family and resided for the next 49 years. Frank and Della loved to dance and followed the polka festivals in the area for many joyful weekends. Della worked for many years in the paint department at Odegaards Hardware Store. Later, she worked the parts counter at Original Equipment before finally retiring. Della and Frank both loved their furry friends. One in particular, Tasha, a Cockapoo, will be laid to rest with Della. Besides their own dogs, there were also several “grand” dogs whom they cared for over the years.

After Frank’s passing in 2010, Della spent the next five years in her home before transitioning to the Tender Nest Care Facility. She was a resident of Tender Nest for six and a half years. We are extremely grateful for the love and care she received at Tender Nest from her many caregivers. Della always had a sweet smile and warm hello for each of them at as they came in to care for her. Della blessed so many of us with her contented spirit and sweet smile.

Della is survived by her four children, Shelley Dunlop, husband Brian, Stephanie Weaver, husband Tom, Stacy Mosbrucker, Shawna Morris, husband Brent; four grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Chelsea and Braden; and four great-grandchildren Ellie, William, Savanna and Payton.

Della prayed several years ago to receive the Lord as her personal Savior and knew the peace that passes all understanding. Ecclesiastics says “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” We believe Della is reunited with her Heavenly Father and is again dancing with the love of her life, Frank. We love you, Mom, and will miss you.
