Delma F. Sommers

Delma F. Sommers died in Billings on Dec. 5, 2015; she was 72.
Delma was born on April 11, 1943, to Orville and Milda Weiss in Dodge City, Kan. She attended college in Emporia, Kan., and afterwards completed a master's degree in social work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Delma found her calling serving veterans and their families as a social worker for the VA for over 25 years. She was an avid reader, lover of animals and dear friend to many. Selfless beyond measure, she will be greatly missed.
Delma leaves behind her son, Darrin Sommers of Billings; her brother and sister-in-law Gary and Jana Weiss of Powell, Wyo.; and her nephews Matt and Jeremy Weiss.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Powell.
