Dennis Kim Warren, 66, passed away Sunday evening, December 12, 2011 at St. Vincent Healthcare following a battle with congestive heart failure.
He was born July 27, 1945 in Billings at St. Vincent Hospital. Dennis was the third son born to Darroll and Nova Warren. He grew up on the family ranch in Hardin, Montana, attending school at Hardin High School where he met and married Linda Hawks on July 2, 1963.
Dennis graduated from Eastern Montana College in 1971. After graduation he packed up his family and began a new job with the Federal Land Bank in Belle Fourche, SD. In 1974, he returned to Billings and began appraising with Equitable Life Insurance Company. In the early 90's, Dennis went out on his own and established Warren Land and Livestock, a farm and ranch appraisal service, which he operated until his passing. Appraising farms and ranches was Dennis's passion in life. The business will be continued in his honor.
Dennis enjoyed travel and saw many fabulous destinations throughout the world. Often traveling with his best friends and upon their return the stories were something to look forward to because they were adventures, not the usual travelers highlights! His grandchildren will always remember him spending Sunday mornings with them, bringing the newspaper and donuts. Even his 4 legged friend "Harley Girl" has noticed him missing at the office.
Dennis is survived by his daughter Kim (Brad) Sinclair; son Brooks Warren; brothers Harvey and Jack Warren; grandchildren Braydon, Britney, Brandt, Jessica, and Brooklyn. He is preceded in death by his father, mother and brother Don and a cousin Dan Beary.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is planned for January, 2012. His ashes will be laid to rest in a private service at a later date. As Dennis would say, "Peace and Love".

Brooks,
Please accept my condolences upon hearing of the passing of your father. Your father was a good man with a big heart and I enjoyed conversations we had together. Please let me know if I can be of service during this difficult time.

As a fellow appraiser, I always enjoyed my visits with Dennis. He was always so helpful to me and appreciative when I was able to help him. His passing will surely leave a void in the hearts and lives of many, but also leaves a positive memory. In addition to our business relationship, I considered Dennis a personal friend. My prayers go out to his family. Lynn Strobel
My sons didn't ever get to know their Uncle Dan so Dennis was as close to being that uncle as possible. I had two Dennis cousins and they were close to the same age. My sons referred to Dennis Warren as Dennis of the Porsche.
My children are now in their late thirties but they still remember the experience with our cousin Dennis.
When the boys were in their pre-teen years, Dennis visited us at our cabin at the foot of the Beartooth Highway. He drove down our lane in a sports car and oh, wow, it was a white Porsche. Not only did he let them crawl all over it, examine the engine, pose for numerous photos; he let them drive it.
They were not farm kids so did not know how to drive at that age unlike Dennis, his brothers and cousins driving all over the farm at very young ages. Dennis let them drive it all over the cabin lanes and then even on the highway. Their feet were not touching the ground when they returned.
They had piece of heaven that day and it was a good thing there was no room for a mother in that car– she may not have survived to tell this story. Donalee LaBar
