Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. Proverbs 4:10

On July 30, 2016, our beloved father, grandfather, Poppie, dedicated man of faith was embraced by his eternal Father in the warmth of his Heavenly Kingdom.

After a full hip replacement in January 2016, Dick had a number of physical challenges. However, he was a true fighter and inspired those around him. He greeted everyone with a smile and loved to tease his caregivers. He was determined to make a recovery and get back on the golf course this summer. That was his goal.

Dick loved the game and was a member at the Laurel Golf Club for 40-plus years. He enjoyed the company of his golfing buddies and was very proud of his hole in one on number 8. He especially looked forward playing with son Gregg during his summer visits, and usually beat him handily.

Dick was born on Dec. 8, 1927, in Lyman, Neb. At the age of 19, he entered the Army and served in Italy during World War II. He received an honorable discharge and eventually met the love of his life, Betty, in Thermopolis, Wyo. They were married and spent 63 wonderful years together. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was his pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by wife Betty; parents John and Beulah Lovell; brother Roy and sister Janice.

He is survived by son Gregg Lovell (Patty); daughters Jeanne Greeno (Alan) and Kristine Glover (Randy); grandchildren Bethany and Jessica Lovell, Casey and Travis Greeno and Ashton Glover; great-grandchildren Braden, Kellen, Bryce and Reese Greeno; sister Jean; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful people who cared for Dick during his residence at The Springs at Grand Park Assisted Living. We are so grateful for the love and care you showed our father, Rocky Mountain Hospice.

*Grief never ends... But it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith... It is the price of Love.*

We love you Daddy... and will miss you so much....
