Donna D. Brown, loving mother, friend, sister and grandmother, passed away on Dec. 17, 2015, at St. Vincent Healthcare.
Donna was born on Jan. 14, 1933, in DeSart, N.D., to James and Edith Hedin. She grew up in Billings, and married John Brown in Livingston in 1951.
A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Donna was active in Habitat for Humanity, Church - Bible Study, Evangelism Committee, Bridge clubs, Senior Center activities, Class of 1950 Billings Senior High Reunion Committee, and served as an election judge. She was a world traveler and, as recently as October, had taken a trip with her sons. She also enjoyed traveling; theater events; "lunch bunch," a group of girlfriends from first grade who met regularly for lunch; playing cards; family and friends.
She worked at GE Supply, CED and Crescent Electric in electrical sales, retiring in 1995. She was a dedicated and talented employee.
Donna was preceded in death by her former husband, John Brown; and brothers Merlyn, DuWayne and Lowell Hedin. She is survived by her children, Robin Tunnicliff and husband Darrell of Billings, Stephen Brown and fiancée Teri Seymour of Billings, and Bryan Brown and wife Julie of Golden, Colo.; grandchildren Alyssa and Joshua Brown; brother Lyle Hedin and wife Dagny of Billings; and sister-in-law Marlene Hedin of Billings.
Donna was the rock of the family and always gave her unconditional love. She was a child of God, kind and thoughtful, extremely giving, caring and compassionate. She had a wonderful sense of humor. We will be lucky to live our lives as she lived hers.She was loved greatly by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Drs. Malters and McKenzie and all the staff at St. Vincent Healthcare for their care and support given to Donna and her family.
Viewing will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, and Sunday, Dec. 20, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 537 Grand Ave. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
