Doris Cecelia (DeCock) Beise, 78, of Billings, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Pastor Dave Thompson of First Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park, 3605 Grand Ave. A reception will be held at Pioneer Park's Zimmerman Center, 1801 Virginia Lane, following burial.

Doris was born in Harlowton. She graduated from high school in 1956 and moved to Spokane, Wash., to attend bookkeeping college. She returned to Billings a short time later, where she met and married Carroll Beise; they were married 51 years.

Doris was a talented seamstress and could sew anything. She also loved gardening, canning and freezing, and made the best jams and jellies. Her other passion was bowling, which she absolutely loved.

She was an extremely hardworking woman with an incredible devotion to her family. She had a heart of gold and a smile that could brighten any room.

Doris is survived by her son, Charles (Jan) Beise; her daughter, Fran Roper; her two grandsons, Tyler (Carol) Roper and Shane Roper; and other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Beise, and her siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the local Alzheimer's Association, 3010 11th Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101.
