Doris Ewers Clemans was born Dec. 29,1907. She was the daughter of Dora May Guisinger and James Fenton Ewers. She passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at St. John’s Lutheran Nursing Home.
She was born in Dayton, Wyoming, where her father was Superintendent of Schools. Soon after her birth the family moved to Basin, Wyoming. Doris had an older sister, Miriam, and a younger brother, Robert. Her mother and father, as well as her sister and brother have preceded her in death.
On November 25, 1935 she was married to Donald Earl Clemans in Green River, Wyoming. They have one daughter, Janet Eleanor Clemans Schrankler, one son-in-law, Cedric Robert Schrankler. and one granddaughter, April Clemans Schrankler who live in Mendota Heights, MN.
Doris graduated from the University of Wyoming and the University of Alabama with a Master of Science Degree. She has taught school, been employed by the welfare program, and had many other job positions during her lifetime.
Doris and her husband, Don, are world travelers, visiting Europe many times and japan, Bali, New Zealand, etc.
She has been a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood since 1933 and when in college she was a member of Chi Omega. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Billings.

A very sincere thank you to the staffs of Mission Ridge, Vista, and St. John’s Nursing Home. We worked well together as a team to provide my mother with loving care.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 10am Friday at First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
