September 25, 1925 - December 2, 2024
Dorothe Fisher, aka HRH, passed away on December 2, 2024 having celebrated her 99th birthday this year.
Dorothe was born September 25, 1925 in Sheridan Wyoming. Her mother passed on early in Dorothe's life and her father Stanley Collins became her rock.
Dorothe was an avid digester of current events and many times won a "Golden Pen Award" from the Billings Gazette for her insightful guest editorials and letters. After (reluctantly at first) trying to and ultimately mastering the computer and internet, she became even more prolific in her writing and staying in touch with her friends. Dorothe made seven solo "round the world" cruises in her later years creating friendships with fellow cruisers worldwide. She was an avid horsewoman and won many awards from the Arabian Horse societies she served. Her love for Arabian horses and in particular one famous stallion named "Bask" was well known. Dorothe was long a member of St Bernard's Catholic parish and showed her faith in action by volunteering daily at St Vincent Healthcare.
Dorothe Fisher was grateful for the care of Riverstone Hospice and West Park Village in her final days. Dorothe Fisher was truly a Montana original.
