Dorothy Jean Huxley Davis, 90, of Billings, passed away from natural causes on Feb. 18, 2017.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1926, in Livingston, the daughter of Reverend Thomas L. Huxley and Anna Huxley. The family later moved to Lewistown, where she received her education, graduating from Fergus County High School in June 1944. Upon graduation, she entered the Cadet Nurse Training Corp at Montana State University in Bozeman, where she met her future husband, Robert W. Davis. They were married in Great Falls on Dec. 22, 1945. They recently celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary.
Surviving is her husband, Robert; son Robert Leonard and wife Loretta; granddaughter Chanda (Derek) Neu, Spokane, Wash.; granddaughter Elizabeth (Andy) Campbell of Whittier, Calif.; grandson Wayne L. Davis of Spokane, Wash.; great-granddaughters Evelyn and Echo Campbell, Skylie and Amira Neu; great-grandson Elijah Neu. She is also survived by her sister, Joan (Ronald) McCune of Pocatello, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen and Mildred; brothers, John, Thomas and Richard.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel.
