Edna McGrail Staebler passed away at the age of 89 on May 1, 2019.
Edna was born on March 24, 1930, in Roundup, to Walter and Estella (Daly) McGrail. In September 1949, she married Raymond Staebler. From their union, five children were born: Kathleen (Stan) Melville, Raymond "Rusty," Leslie, Michael and Julie Kuper.
She worked for Buttrey's (now Albertson's) for 30 years.
Our mom loved to tend to her beautiful gardens of many flowers. Roses, irises and tulips were among her favorites. Among her many talents were knitting, crocheting, sewing and baking.
Even in her final days at Moorberg Cottage, she was known as a trooper. She was strong-willed and tenacious with a love for life. Her nature was very caring and giving. She will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rusty; her parents, Walter and Estella; and sisters Catherine and Colleen.
She is survived by four of her five children; and brothers Gene (Virginia) George, Ron (Carol) and Larry (Pat) McGrail, grandchildren, Missy, Neal, Jamie, Kelly, Jerod, Dayna, Stacy and Chris (Linette) Kuper; eight great-grandchildren, Ashtin, Weston, Olivia, Kyla, Tate, Katy-Jo, Stetson and Blake.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 11:30 a.m. Sunday, May 5, at Peace Lutheran Church.
