Edwin “Ed” Rogers went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 23, 2011 after a very long struggle with multiple illnesses.

He was born in Butte MT to Edwin “Bidda” and Hazel Rogers and was raised in Centerville. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served four years. Upon returning to Butte he worked at various jobs including the Anaconda Mining Company. He met and later married Luella Lowney, on August 15, 1964. To that union they had two wonderful sons, James and Michael.

As the boys grew, the family lived in Butte; Stansbury Park, Utah, and finally moved to Billings. He worked for Kwik Way, but loved his work at St Thomas the Apostle Church where he worked as a handyman until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of46 years, Luella, and his sons, James (Cristina) and Michael (Kim), his brother, James (Gloria) and 8 grandchildren, Brenna, Caylin, Kiever, Trevor, Randi, Kaitlyn, Keith, and Kevin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin “Bidda” and Hazel Rogers and sisters, Thelma and Dorothy.

Ed was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 10AM with inumment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
