On June 20, 2017, Eida V. (Stockman) Hooley passed away at St. John's Lutheran Home.

Eida was born to Swedish parents in Finland, and emigrated to the U.S. with her sister Margot post-WWII. There, she learned English, became a U.S. citizen, married and raised a family, and started a small business.

She was fiercely proud of her family and very active in her community. Eida was instrumental in many of her children's activities, including Scouting, PTA, Class Mom and Little League. She was also a member of Swedish Fraternal Organizations, Business Associations, Senior Councils and much more.

The loves of her life, Walter Stockman and later Fredrick Hooley, preceded her in death. She is survived by her three sons, Bruce (Gale) Stockman, Gary (Barbara) Stockman, both of New York, and David (Nancy) Stockman of Billings; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many others who loved her. We all loved her dearly and will miss her greatly.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life reception in her honor will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 7, at West Park Village, 2351 Solomon Ave.

Michelotti-Sawyers is assisting with arrangements.
