Eileen C. Johnson

Eileen Johnson, age 90, of Billings, went to be with her husband Bill and her heavenly father on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017.

Eileen was born to Oscar and Hannah Larson in Grenora, N.D., on Feb. 19, 1926, being the youngest of six girls. Following graduation at Williston, N.D., Eileen worked as a bookkeeper. She married the love of her life on Oct. 26, 1947, in Cut Bank. Eileen and Bill resided for the most part in Billings and Shepherd, where they raised their three children.

In 1949, Eileen and Bill moved to Billings, where they started their family in 1950. After starting her family, Eileen devoted herself to being a full time wife and mother. In 1962, the Johnson family moved to Shepherd, where they remained for many years. Eileen and Bill moved to Billings in 1989 and were snowbirds for three years in Tucson, Ariz.

Throughout her life, Eileen was very involved with Emmanuel Lutheran Church, PTA, 4-H, Billings Saddle Club and supporting her husband and children in numerous activities. Eileen enjoyed the company of many friends and was loved and respected by all. Eileen loved to golf and was interested in many other sports. Most of all, Eileen loved her family and watching them pursue their passions.

Eileen is survived by her son, William Alan (Corinne); daughters Susan Zeiler (Ron) and Lori Johnson; grandchildren Christene McDonnell (John), Jennifer Johnson (Brian), Darin Zeiler (Elisa), Kara Connors (Casey), Daniel Johnson and Douglas Johnson (Carrie). Eileen was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; granddaughter Darcee Zeiler; parents; and five sisters.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., in Billings. Funeral will take place at 1 1a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Shepherd. Interment will follow in Shepherd Cemetery.
