Elayne Cannon Bishop passed away after a short illness on Sunday, July 24, 2016, after many years at Grand Park Assisted Living Faculty.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1924, to Inga and Earl Penne. Elayne was proud of her many years of service as a Pink Lady at St. Vincent Hospital, as well as crocheting many blankets for donation to patients.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Cannon; and her second husband, Alfred Bishop; her sisters, Marion Foster, Genevieve Hoeg; her brothers Vern Penne, Lloyd Penne, and her younger brother, Robert Penne. She is survived by her oldest son, Timothy Cannon, daughter-in-law, Sandi Cannon, granddaughter, Alexandra Antis, great-granddaughter Chloe Antis; son, Shawn Cannon, grandsons, Austin, Kyle and Ryan; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at St. Thomas, 2055 Woody Drive, with the interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery next to James Cannon.
