Eleanora Marian Shaw

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Eleanora Marian Shaw has left her earthly body to join our Lord on Jan. 5, 2017, after a long struggle with cancer.

She was born on Feb. 6, 1934, to Dominik and Susie Melius in Billings. She was one of eight children. She met and married Fred Shaw on Dec. 20, 1954. They had five children: Dennis, Juleen Nielsen (Rod), Barry, Kevin and Kirk.

She worked at Mountain Bell after graduating from Senior High in 1952. In 1965, she began working at St. Vincent Hospital as a PBX communications specialist. She retired in 2015 after 50 years of employment.

Some of her hobbies that she enjoyed were painting, sewing, candle making and unique lamp refurbishing. However, her favorite hobby was her many roses.

She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Melius of Billings; sons Dennis and Barry of New Orleans; daughter Juleen Nielsen (Rod) of Billings; her four grandchildren, Amberlee, Maya, Kevin, Juliana; and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by Fred, her husband; sons Kevin and Kirk; five brothers and one sister.

Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Michelotti-Sawyers. Following services, interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
