A limb has fallen from our family tree. Our beloved son Elijah journeyed on to the other side on Sept. 1, 2024, from a tragic ATV accident.
Elijah Rae’kwon Flores was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on April 13, 2004, to Hilaria Evans and had the honor of having two fathers: Ricardo Palmer/Christian Evans.
Elijah enjoyed reading, Legos, four-wheeling, gaming, riding his bike, coding, animals and cooking. He also collected pins, stickers, Lego sets and candles. Music was his passion; he extended his skills creatively while playing numerous instruments, recording/making and writing beats and music. He was very athletic and participated in basketball, football, and track and field.
His passion in life was to travel the world.
Elijah was known for his beautiful smile and his sweet soul touched all who knew him.
As a child, Elijah grew up in North Carolina; Miami, Florida; and Montana, eventually calling Billings home. He attended elementary school at Highland, Junior High at Lewis and Clark, and graduated high school from West.
Most people only got to see the shy, quiet, introverted side of Eli; only very few got to see his crazy, goofy, well-spoken, intelligent, funny and energetic side. He was a young-hearted old soul who knew information of all realms. Elijah left a lasting impression once you got to know him.
Elijah had five brothers: Payden (McKenna) Flores, Hilario (Cami) Stewart, R. Andrew Palmer, Khiano Vega-Sanchez and Immanuel Josmo; three sisters: Christianna Evans, Melina Flatmouth and Ashle (Tristan) La Rosa.
Elijah loved all his aunties dearly: Kamekia (Robert) Poe, Faith (Lamont) Evans, Maretta (Al) Darby, Natalie (Kim) Colliflower, Allison Palmer Cromartie (son Ari Cromartie), Antoinette Cooper Palmer (son Keion Palmer) (Maribel, Amelia, Kelani, Anayah), special friend Michael.
Uncles: Juan Flores, Richard Flores Jr., Johnny Flores, Justin (Vinnett) Flores, Jonathan (Briana) Flores, Quincy (Tiffany) Dabney and Andrae (Pam) Evans.
Godparents: Jim and Millie Wine, and Raymont and Panzy Pierre.
Grandparents: Minister Matthew Palmer and Dr. Velma Palmer; Donna (the late Richard Flores), Mamie (the late Ernest Evans); and the late Rosalyn Rennie (Jim).
Special friends: Sam (Athena) Wine, Devlen Harris, Myriah Sanchez, Tirzah Plasterer, Delaney Fagg and Sam Petzl.
