Elmer Leo Rudolph

Elmer Leo Rudolph, of Billings, started a new journey in his life with the Lord on Feb. 2, 2020.

Born in 1933 to Jacob and Alvina (Martin) Rudolph in Forsyth, he went to grade school in Florence, then moved to Hamilton and then to Billings. He graduated from Senior High in 1952, and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, with one year on Eniwetok Atoll. After returning to Billings, Elmer worked at Hagen Printing as a pressman for 48 years. Elmer also played steel guitar with several country bands in the Billings area.

Elmer married LaVonne Rau in April 1956. Together, they had three children.

Survivors include his wife, LaVonne; daughter Debra Sokkar of Australia; sons Duane of Billings, Gregory (Aiza) of Nevada; grandchildren Nicole, Jessica, Dustin, Belinda, Travis, Miguel and Rebecca; nine great-grandchildren; brothers Omer of Billings, James (Toni) of Oregon; and sister Judy (Ralph) Skaggs of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister Wilma, brother Arnold, sister-in-law, aunts and uncles.

A special thank you to all the emergency medical teams who came to his assistance and to the medical staff of Billings Clinic who attended him.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2336 St. Johns Ave.

Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Lutheran School or a charity of your choice.
