Emil Paul Ehresman, 91 of Billings, entered the presence of the Lord on January 3, 2012. Emil was born on the homestead farm, October 7, 1920 in Leola, South Dakota, the third child out of seven to Jacob and Pauline Ehresman,.

Emil attended a country school in South Dakota before graduating from high school in Circle, Montana, in 1940. He went to Wheaton College, then worked in a cheese factory in Belgrade, Montana.

He married Dora Dyk on May 11, 1945 at the Alliance Church in Amsterdam, Montana. They then moved to Billings, Montana where Emil established a carpentry business.

They raised six children: Kenneth (Cindy) of Pennsylvania, Bill (Chery) of Billings, Connie Cheney (Craig) of Mesa, Arizona, Karen Oberly (Dave) of Laurel, Dale (Angie) of Billings and Corine Roberts of Mesa, Arizona. Emil has 19 grand children and 31 great-grand children. Emil is preceded in death by his wife and by his son Dale Ehresman.

Emil was a very generous individual who used his resources to benefit those he loved. He was always willing to help those in need. He loved to work with his hands and had a servant’s heart. He loved to work with wood and was the happiest when he was making something for someone out of wood. He also liked to collect coins and work in the garden that he and his wife would plant and then can the fruits of their labor. Emil was devoted to the Lord and was instrumental in building several churches.

The casket will be open for visitation on Thursday and Friday at Michelotti-Sawyers between 9a.m.-5p.m., and prior to the funeral at church. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 7, at First Alliance Church with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Rocky Mountain Hospice, or the charity of one's choice.
