Emma Sue Rowan Profile Photo

Emma Sue Rowan, age 14, thrived beautifully and wonderfully in her hometown, Billings. Already our angel on Earth, she received her wings on June 12, 2019, in Henderson, Nevada.

Emma Sue was born on May 11, 2005, to her two loving parents Matthew and Stephanie Sheldon Rowan. Receiving her Momma's middle name, she grew to follow her lead of spreading kindness and touching hearts along the way.

From a young age, it was very clear Emma had a special place in her giving heart for animals. No matter how big or small, Emma compassionately loved every animal she could ever come into contact with. Even though it was hard choosing just one, her favorite was horses. As time flew by, she became extremely passionate about everything horses; especially riding. She made every effort to learn everything she could to understand and love her horse Susie Joe unconditionally. This radiated into her friendships and close relationships. Emma loved to be a listening ear, and nothing made her happier than being able to bring people together. Her other hobbies included dancing, singing, and just being plain goofy with her best friends.

She had just finished eighth grade at Ben Steele Middle School and was looking forward to attending Senior High.

She shined every single time she walked into a room, truly living as our ray of sunshine. Emma's immense love and caring nature will live on in all of our hearts forever.

She is honored every day by her beloved parents, Matthew and Stephanie Sheldon Rowan; big sister Kailee Rowan; little brother Jacob Rowan; and grandparents Dave and Barbara Lais Hawkins, Paul Rowan, Thomas Sheldon; and her guardian angel, Deborah Wilson. Emma's many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also keep her fiery soul alive.

Emma's viewing will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Her celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, at Faith Chapel, 517 Shiloh Road (use Broadwater Entrance). Burial will follow at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park, with a reception back at Faith Chapel after the burial.

Forever in our hearts, Emma was truly a God-given gift.

"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand." - John 10:28
