Esther Rose Hegel

Esther Rose Hegel, of Billings, passed away on Aug. 19, 2017, at the age of 86.
Esther was born in Billings on Oct. 12, 1930, to John and Lydia Uhrich of Acton. She graduated from Billings Senior High in 1948. She married Vally Hegel on Jan. 25, 1949. She worked at the JC Penney store in Billings after graduation and then, later on in her married life, at the Laurel Penney's store.
She is survived by her children, Nickie Foos (Ron), John (Renee), Mike (Brenda); her grandchildren, Jenny Vogele (Randy), Michelle Simser (Brian), Libby Hegel (Dylan Solomon), Kenna Collette (Bryan); great-grandchildren, Ella, Hannah and Colton Vogele and Emily Simser. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Mary Rose; and her half-brothers, Arnault and Raymond Michels.
The family would like to thank the staff of Aspen Meadows for their wonderful care.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 717 18th St. West, with the mass following at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
