Eva H. Swenson
Our dear Eva, 93, of Billings, passed away on June 10, 2018, at St. Vincent Healthcare.
Eva was born on Dec. 11, 1924, in Grano, North Dakota. She met the love of her life, Frank Swenson, and married him on Oct. 5, 1948, in McGregor, North Dakota. They were married for 58 years. They moved to Billings in 1955 and to Shepherd in 1958, where they lived until Frank's death in 2006. Eva and Frank founded and managed Shepherd Stainless, a custom stainless steel manufacturing company.
She was a charter member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Billings and was an active member of the Shepherd community and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Shepherd. Eva loved their farm and transformed their century old farmhouse in Shepherd to create a beautiful oasis. She loved dancing with Frank, tending her sheep and baking buns and bread. Eva will be remembered as a kind, generous, and caring person who was always willing to help. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great-grandmother.
Eva is survived by her children, Jon (Hanne) of Moss, Norway, Stan (Jan) of Billings and Susan (Craig) of Missoula; grandchildren, Frank Olav, Eva Kristine, Tanner, Kelsey and Alyssa; great-grandson, Crosby; and brother, Peter Palmerson of Los Altos, California. She is preceded in death by her son, Steven; her husband, Frank; her sisters Anna, Lilian and Carol; and her brothers, Adrian and Morgan.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Shepherd. Private burial will be at the Shepherd Cemetery.
