Frank Edward Thomas April 21, 1938 — November 15, 2019

Frank Edward Thomas, age 81, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 15, 2019, in Billings. He was a longtime resident of Billings, where he lived with his wife, Margaret Thomas, of 33 years.

Frank was born April 21, 1938, in Roscoe, to George and Florence Thomas. In his early years, he married Myra Lorraine Muller and later divorced. They had two children together: Michael and Shanda. After his divorce from Myra, he married Margaret Schieno, and her four children (Michael, Rob, Julie and Jason) became his and his two children became hers.

Frank was an oilfield man at heart and that is how he spent most of his working life for different oilfield companies in Wyoming, Montana and Alaska until he and his wife Margaret purchased and operated Yellowstone Water Conditioning in Billings until their retirement.

Frank worked hard at anything he did and was successful in every undertaking. He took great pride in a job well done. He loved to "go, see and do." He enjoyed his family, boating, fishing, camping, building, working and just driving around seeing the country. He had a knack for fixing, designing or building anything. He is admired by his family, friends and past coworkers. He will be remembered fondly by many and will truly be missed.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Thomas of Billings; his brother Clifford (Shirley) Thomas of Powell, WY; his sister Lavada Logemann of Petersburg, KY; his children Michael (Jeanette) Thomas of Parachute, CO, Shanda (Kent) Fife of Evanston, WY, Michael (Linda) Schieno of Billings, MT, Rob (Susan) Schieno of Billings, Julie (Pat) Harmon of Billings and Jason Schieno of Roseville, CA; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., Billings. Dinner reception follows at 4 p.m. at the Elk's Lodge.
