My Prince is Gone
My beloved prince died in my arms in our home on March 27, 2015, after a valiant battle with a long illness. His name was Gary Kenneth Clymer, my husband of 49 years.
Gary was born in Antlers, Okla., on Nov. 3, 1943. He graduated from Antlers High School and Oklahoma Central State University. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Blackfin (submarine) from 1962 to 1966. He married his sweetheart, Sandra Nelson Wood, in 1965, and they moved to the San Francisco Bay area, and Gary was successful in the banking industry until he retired in 2007.
His passion was racing sailboats for 20 years. He was an active member of Rotary and the Golden Gate Yacht Club in San Francisco.
He and Sandy loved Montana and moved here in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; two daughters, Sarah Emily Clymer and Tara Jill Clymer; and two grandchildren, Julia Emma Thompson and Carter Michael Holden, all living in the Tampa Bay area.
Gary touched many lives with his great sense of humor and his caring ways, and will be missed by many.
Gary's ashes will be spread in the Boulder with the ashes of his late cat, Chin Li.
