Gary D. Miller Profile Photo

Gary D. Miller, 77, passed from this life to his heavenly home on Sept. 11, 2017, from complications of Myasthenia Gravis, an incurable autoimmune disease.

Gary led a full life. He grew up in Livingston, roaming and hunting in the mountains and all the fishing holes he could find on the Yellowstone River. He joined the Air Force after high school and was stationed at nine different places. He later worked for Boeing, Japan Air Lines and concluded his career with 27 years in Colstrip for Montana Power (PPL) before retiring to Billings.

He and his wife, Nancy, were foster parents for 23 years. Since retirement, he and his wife have spent most of their winters in Yuma, Arizona. The last few years, he served as an outreach minister for the Church of Christ in Roundup. Up until the last few days of his life, he was planning his next meal and next big fishing trip.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of 53 years; children Belinda Bly, Kristen Bolejack (Kevin) and Damon Miller. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Brentton (Kelsie), Joshua, Casey (Aterra) and Lauren; sisters Juanita Hill and Della Anderson; and many other friends and family who loved and admired him.

Services will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Church of Christ at 10th and Alderson. Burial will be at a later date at Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel.
